Here's a task we didn't mind doing - uploading our submission to the Oscars®!

After a very exciting 2015 & 2016 film festival run, The Orchestra is honoured to have qualified for the 89th Academy Awards! We're in consideration for the Best Animated Short Oscar®!

A total of 70 films are qualified, and these will be narrowed down to a field of 10 in November 2016, and then a shortlist of 5 nominees in January 2017.

Fingers crossed!

Good news from California! The Orchestra has won the jury award for Best Animation Short at the La Costa Film Festival!

The festival sent through some of the jury comments too, which went straight on mum and dad's fridge!

Director Mikey Hill attended the 60th BFI London Film Festival to represent The Orchestra in three fantastic screenings of the 'Sonic & Vision' programme - featuring films that use music in unique ways.

What an exciting night! The Orchestra won Best Original Score (awarded to the amazing Jamie Messenger) and Best Animation at the St Kilda Film Festival! Producer Melanie Brunt and composer Jamie Messenger represented the film at the gala awards night.

Home sweet home! Announcing that The Orchestra is selected to screen at the St Kilda Film Festival in May!

Another chance for the crew and our Melbournian friends to catch the film, alongside Australia's top 100 short films!

We just won the Best International Short award at the TAAFI - Toronto Animation Arts Festival International! This is such an honour and a surprise in a strong field of great films.

TAAFI looked to be a fantastic event with screenings, seminars, an animation market, and incredibly amazing guest speakers like Eric Goldberg and Marv Newland.

We can't wait to get our 'Taffy' award in the post!

The Orchestra wins the Best Animation Short at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival!

Vernon's little trumpeter got a bit tipsy on champagne and wouldn't stop playing Queen's 'We Are The Champions'. It was funny for a bit, but it got old pretty quickly... especially when the other awardees were trying to give speeches.

On Valentine's Day, 2016, The Orchestra won the Oscar-accredited Santa Barbara International Film Festival Bruce Corwin Award for Best Animated Short Film!!!

Congratulations to ALL on the production team - thank you for your dedicated and wonderful work!

The Orchestra has won the Yoram Gross Best Australian Animation at FLiCKERFEST! A massive congratulations to the entire crew.

The Orchestra was nominated for the 2015 Best Short Animation Australian Academy Cinema Television Arts (AACTA) Award. We've nicknamed them the Ozcars.

The ceremony was pretty darn glitzy and glammy, and we we're thrilled to frock up and take part. Pictured are composer Jamie Messenger, producer Melanie Brunt and director Mikey Hill - all looking as shiny as possible!

Congratulations to the inimitable Adam Elliot for taking out the award!

What a supersonic team! Congratulations to Markus Kellow, Doron Kipen (Music and Effects), Jamie Messenger, and William Gardner for taking out the Australian Screen Sound Guild (ASSG) Award for Best Sound for an Animated Short Film. I can't recommend each of them highly enough for their talent and professionalism!

The Orchestra wins Best Sound Design at the Anima Mundi International Animation Festival (Rio De Janeiro/Sao Paulo, July, 2015). Congratulations to the sound team of Markus Kellow, Jamie Messenger and Doron Kippen.
